Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

LUTLINE is published by Yakup Pekdemir, trading as Pekdemir Labs, in Türkiye ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the limited processing described in this policy. Contact: [email protected].

2. What stays on your device

Your videos, frames, projects, grades, saved recipes, imported .cube LUT files, LUT names, camera-profile choices and Photos selections are processed and stored on your device. LUTLINE does not upload media to any server for editing, analysis, thumbnails, backups or advertising. Editing works without a network connection. Exports are written to the destination you choose (Photos or a Files folder, or wherever you send them from the share sheet) and nowhere else.

LUTLINE reads only the items you pick through the system photo picker or the Files browser. It does not request access to your whole photo library. Saving to Photos uses add-only access.

LUTLINE does not collect face data. The app has no face detection, face tracking or facial-recognition feature, does not use the camera, and does not analyse the people in your footage. A face in a video you edit is treated like every other part of that video: processed on your device for color grading, never uploaded, and never stored, shared or retained by us separately from the video itself.

3. Purchases through Apple

In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details, and Apple does not give us your name or email address. Apple's StoreKit on your device decides whether LUTLINE Pro is active, and a paid entitlement is not removed because the network is unavailable. Apple's handling of purchase data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

4. Subscription service (RevenueCat)

LUTLINE includes the RevenueCat SDK, provided by RevenueCat, Inc. (United States). We use it for two purposes: to keep subscription status consistent, for example after a restore, a renewal or a refund, and to measure which upgrade screens lead to a purchase. RevenueCat never decides your access; Apple's StoreKit on the device does.

For each installation of LUTLINE, RevenueCat receives:

• A random app user ID that the RevenueCat SDK creates on your device. LUTLINE has no account system and does not give RevenueCat your name, email address or Apple Account sign-in.
• Your App Store purchase records for LUTLINE: the signed StoreKit transactions for purchases, renewals and restores, and the app's signed App Store record (AppTransaction), together with the product, its price and currency, and your storefront country. The AppTransaction can also be sent when you tap Restore Purchases, even if you never bought anything. From these records, RevenueCat can see purchase, trial, renewal, expiry and refund dates, whether a purchase is shared through Family Sharing, and Apple's transaction and app-download identifiers. Apple keeps those identifiers the same for your Apple Account across devices and reinstalls.
• Upgrade-screen views: which upgrade screen was shown and from where in the app (for example from a film effect or the export sheet), which set of plans (offering) was assigned and the targeting rule that chose it, when, and a random identifier for that app session.
• Technical details, sent with each request: the app version, build and bundle identifier, the RevenueCat SDK version, the iOS version, the device model, up to three preferred languages, your storefront country, whether the build is a test (sandbox or debug) build, the identifier for vendor (IDFV) that iOS assigns to LUTLINE on your device, and similar technical settings of the app and the SDK, such as whether the app is in the background and which StoreKit version it uses. The SDK also reports the app's App Tracking Transparency status as iOS gives it. LUTLINE never asks for permission to track you and does not read the advertising identifier (IDFA).
• Your IP address, as with any connection to a server.

We do not use this data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not use it to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf as a service provider under its Data Processing Addendum. We have confirmed that it protects the data at least as strictly as this policy describes. RevenueCat's own policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Legal bases. Where the GDPR, the UK GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK applies, keeping your subscription status consistent is necessary to perform the contract you enter when you buy LUTLINE Pro, and measuring which upgrade screens work rests on our legitimate interest in understanding which of them help people decide. Answering your support email also rests on our legitimate interest in helping you.

Retention and deletion. RevenueCat keeps these records while LUTLINE uses its service, so that purchases can be restored and accounted for, unless we delete them earlier at your request. To have the RevenueCat records for your installation deleted, write to [email protected] (Settings › Contact Support in the app). If you made a purchase, include the order ID from Apple's purchase receipt email or your App Store purchase history, or a screenshot of that receipt, so we can find the record. Within 30 days we will delete it and confirm, or tell you if we could not identify it. If you never made a purchase, the record carries no name, email or order ID, so we may not be able to single it out; we will tell you if so. Deleting the app does not delete these server records by itself.

5. What we do not collect

• Your media, file names, LUT names, project names, recipe names or Photos identifiers
• Face data or any other biometric information
• Your email address, name, contacts, location or advertising identifier (unless you write to us)
• Text you type in the app
• Analytics about how you use the editor, beyond the upgrade-screen views described in section 4

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use data for cross-app advertising or tracking. LUTLINE does not use an account system.

6. Crash and diagnostic data

If you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in iOS Settings, Apple may send us anonymized crash logs and usage statistics through App Store Connect. That sharing is controlled by Apple and by your iOS settings, not by the app. LUTLINE's own export trace (used to diagnose a failed export) is kept only on the device and is never sent anywhere.

7. Support email

If you write to [email protected], we keep the message and any attachments you send for as long as needed to help you and to keep a record of the support history, then delete them. When you use Contact Support in the app, the draft email includes the LUTLINE version, the iOS version and the device model; you can remove them before sending. Please do not send video you would not want us to see; a description and a screenshot of the Recipe sheet and the export result are usually enough.

8. This website

lutline.app is a static site served through Cloudflare. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics scripts and loads no third-party fonts or trackers. Cloudflare may process connection data (such as IP address and request headers) to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The site stores your light/dark theme choice in your browser's local storage; nothing is sent to us.

9. Your choices and rights

• You can use the Free tier without a purchase.
• You can restore purchases and manage or cancel a subscription through Apple, from LUTLINE Settings or your Apple Account.
• Deleting the app removes locally stored projects, recipes and LUTs from that device. It does not cancel an Apple subscription — cancel it in your Apple Account settings — and it does not delete RevenueCat's records; see section 4 for how to request that.
• Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, the UK, Türkiye and California) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data about you, or to object to it. Because LUTLINE keeps very little about you, most requests are answered by explaining what is (not) held. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

10. Children

LUTLINE is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Service providers and international transfers

The data that leaves the device — purchase processing by Apple, the subscription records and upgrade-screen views processed by RevenueCat, website delivery by Cloudflare, and support email — may be processed in the United States or other countries where these providers operate. Apple processes App Store purchases under its own privacy policy. The app shares user data with one other company, RevenueCat, which processes it on our behalf under its Data Processing Addendum; we have confirmed that it protects the data at least as strictly as this policy describes. Transfers to RevenueCat in the United States are covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses in that Data Processing Addendum (with the UK addendum for UK data). Cloudflare delivers this website under its privacy policy.

12. Changes

Material changes will be published on this page with a new effective date. The app's Settings links here, so the current text is always the one at this URL. This version replaces the policy effective 2026-09-19; it names RevenueCat's processing in full, adds how long RevenueCat records are kept and how to have them deleted, and states the legal bases and the safeguard for transfers to the United States.
